Dr. Christian D. González is a globally recognized leader in Interventional Pain Medicine and the CEO of Spine and Wellness Centers of America (SWCA), one of the most advanced multi-site pain management platforms in the United States.

Harvard-trained and double board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Dr. González completed his fellowship at Massachusetts

General Hospital and has held senior academic leadership roles at leading institutions nationwide. He currently serves as Chief of three Pain Medicine divisions and previously served as Division Chief at the University of Massachusetts and the University of Miami. At the national level, he has held executive leadership positions including President-Elect and Vice President of the American Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. González is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), where he serves as Chapter Chair and Global Ambassador for the YPO Healthcare Network, contributing to international discussions on healthcare innovation, clinical scalability, and value-based care delivery.

Under his leadership, SWCA has evolved into a high-volume, outcomes-driven clinical network, operating across seven+ centers, supported by over 50 clinicians, and delivering more than 175,000 patient encounters annually. The organization is widely recognized for its standardized clinical protocols, operational discipline, and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality care at scale.

Dr. González leads the integration of interventional pain medicine, regenerative therapies, advanced surgical pathways, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory surgery centers, and rehabilitation services into a unified care model engineered for quality, efficiency, and national and global expansion.

Clinically, Dr. González is at the forefront of stem cell and regenerative medicine in pain care. He has developed and utilized advanced treatment protocols involving autologous stem cell therapies and is now leading research initiatives using mesenchymal stem cells derived from umbilical cord tissue. Following the legalization of stem cell treatments in Florida on July 1, 2025, Dr. González has been instrumental in bringing some of the most advanced and rigorously sourced stem cell therapies in the United States to the South Florida market.

He has been named one of Miami’s Best Doctors for three consecutive years, has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, and continues to shape the future of pain medicine through clinical leadership, research, innovation, and education.
