| Professor Constantin Coussios OBE is Director of the Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering, holder of the first statutory Chair in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Innovation at the university. He founded and heads the Biomedical Ultrasonics, Biotherapy and Biomaterials Laboratory (BUBBL), and has co-founded several Oxford spin-outs, including OrganOx, developer of a normothermic organ perfusion device now used worldwide. A Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Academy of Medical Sciences, he was awarded an OBE in 2022 for services to biomedical engineering. |
