| Professor Sir Andrew Morris CBE is President of the Academy of Medical Sciences and inaugural Director of Health Data Research UK, and serves as Professor of Medicine and Vice Principal of Data Science at the University of Edinburgh. He was previously Dean of Medicine at the University of Dundee and Chief Scientist at the Scottish Government, and is internationally recognised for his work in informatics and non-communicable diseases, having published more than 350 papers and attracted over £200 million in research funding. He was awarded a CBE in 2018 and was knighted in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours. |
